365: Marching Band Day

March 3 is Marching Band Day. I played drums in the marching band and also instructed for a while, so this was a pretty exciting day. Marching Band was such a big part of my life, so I wanted to at least start talking to Jude about it.

Monday is our day with Quinn, and she had some instruments for us to use for our band. Jude got his first pick of instruments (jingle bells) and Quinn picked her go-to instrument, the xylophone. Then we gave the rest of the instruments to some stuffed animals. We put them in a formation and went to town. Jude would have been satisfied to shake that thing for hours. They played loudly and only sometimes together.

We also listened to marching band music. When the Alabama fight song came on by the Million Dollar Band, I serenaded the gang with the fight song. Roll tide!
