365: Oatmeal Cookie Day

April 30 is Oatmeal Cookie Day. There's not really a history of its origins, but it's a holiday to be celebrated.

It has been a while since Jude helped me cook, so we decided to do this baking together. Lincoln and Athena were happy and ready to help as well. Jude isn't really eating sugar yet, so I searched the internet and found these easy two ingredient oatmeal cookies.

Jude loves to smash things. He got tasked with smashing the bananas. It was a terribly fun mess. Lincoln finished up the mashing. Lincoln and Athena measured and mixed in the oats and off went the cookies into the oven.

They were very banana tasting. Jude loved them but the rest of us weren't huge fans. In the future, maybe adding a little cinnamon might help sweeten them a little!
