July 1 is International Joke Day. It has been a while since we have done a play tray, so this week (July 1-7), we will be challenging ourselves to celebrate each holiday with a sensory play tray or bucket!
I headed to the Dollar Tree during nap time for some inspiration for the tray. There, I decided that we were going to play with silly things for Joke Day. Jude enjoyed feeling the different textures, especially the furriness of the mustaches. He liked the rubber feelings of the chickens too. I let him interact how he wanted to with each of the objects and it was fun to watch him guide his own play.
Contents of the play tray:
1. jump plastic frogs
2. fake mustaches
3. silly putty
4. sling shot rubber chickens
