Last week, Jude and I gutted a pumpkin on one of the warmer days. I saved some of the guts in a ziploc bag in the fridge. Today, I pulled them out and let Jude use his senses to explore the touch, look, and sound of pumpkin guts. He stepped on it. He kneaded it. He had Mickey step on it. It was really hard to get a photo because Jude and I were sitting close by looking at it and talking about it. Using a baggie is a great way to let kids (especially the little ones) explore messy things without getting messy!

365: Pumpkin Day
October 26 is Pumpkin Day. We had big plans to go to a pumpkin patch for some fall fun, but it rained cats and dogs all day in Cincinnati. So, we improvised and took a close look at pumpkin guts.
